Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
As I was a mom with one child at my side and other children with me in the cradle would work 12 hour shifts sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! Ha! It all started to make sense, but was still far from being finished. To furnish the home would be a huge effort in terms of both time and funds. Also, I had to do my favourite shopping. To keep the budget in check, I started going to estate sales with my three brothers to search for diamonds in the rough. We would go from the week of Thursday through Saturday at estate sales and garage sales, buying old and new furniture. In the end, I painted and sanded the driveway in the week. It was a bit like it... This was when my interest in restoration of furniture started. After our home was fully furnished, I still couldn't give up! On the streets I was able to rent a tiny space, and also sold pieces. Eventually, my collection grew to the point that the space I had was not enough. My house was transformed into a space where I would host open houses, where up 1000 people would be able to view the items on my first floor and purchase the items. Growing Days was created in the home. Growing Days was more than an incredibly successful business, but it was also a loving family. It was essential to find the right balance for me. I wished to be a mom and a successful business owner. Growing Days was the obvious decision. Nora my 4th child was born in the year 2013. The direction my company was heading was excellent, however I had to rest for a while. I made the decision to take a break and stay in my home with my family. This was just what I needed. Within a couple of months, my phone started to ring. I was getting calls from people asking me to help with their home improvement and interior design. The majority of people who contacted me were from those who attended one of the furniture open house events. The time flew by before I had a fully-fledged home renovation company. I began by taking clients at a pace that I was at ease with. Most likely, I would have been laughing if someone had told me the company was to become the basis for an upcoming TV show in the DIY Network. It's fun to reflect about it.
